BR-DE-4

Seller Post Code Missing (BT-38)

What This Error Means

The seller's postal address (BG-5) must contain the post code (BT-38). This is an XRechnung addition to EN 16931. The rule is fatal. A frequent cause is a combined value such as '10115 Berlin' in the city field while cbc:PostalZone stays empty.

How to Fix It

Fill cac:AccountingSupplierParty/cac:Party/cac:PostalAddress/cbc:PostalZone (CII: ram:PostcodeCode in ram:PostalTradeAddress). It comes right after cbc:CityName in UBL.

XML Example
<cac:PostalAddress>
  <cbc:StreetName>Hauptstraße 5</cbc:StreetName>
  <cbc:CityName>Berlin</cbc:CityName>
  <cbc:PostalZone>10115</cbc:PostalZone>
  <cac:Country>
    <cbc:IdentificationCode>DE</cbc:IdentificationCode>
  </cac:Country>
</cac:PostalAddress>
